Naira slumps, trades at N1,383/$ at official FX market - NIGERIAN TRIBUNE

The Nigerian naira began the official week trading at a depreciation against the United States (US) dollar, trading at N1,383.6262 at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) official foreign exchange (FX) window on Monday, June 29, 2026.

The data shared on the CBN’s official platform shows that the naira traded at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) rate of N1,383.6262 per dollar and closed at N1,385.0000 per dollar.

The currency, which traded at an NFEM rate of N1,380.9329 on Friday, June 26, 2026, has depreciated slightly by at least N2.69 after trading activities on Monday.

At the parallel market, the buying rate depreciated by N3 while the selling rate depreciated by N5 when compared to the previous trading rate on Friday, June 26, 2026.

According to AbokiFX, the Naira-to-dollar exchange rate at the black market on Monday, June 29, 2026, was N1,390 and N1,395 per dollar for the buying and selling rates, respectively.
