This means that the country’s currency gained N1.8 on a day-to-day basis at the official FX market on Tuesday.

At the black market, the Naira remained flat at N1,500 per dollar on Tuesday, the same rate exchanged on Monday.

The development comes as the country’s external reserves rose further as of October 20th, 2025, to $42.79 billion, up from $42.69 billion recorded on 17th October, according to apex bank data.

Recall that the naira kicked off the week with a significant gain against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Monday.
