Reopening Delay Won’t Derail U.K.’s Swift Recovery - BLOOMBERG

(Bloomberg) -- A delay to the removal of all restrictions on public life in England is unlikely to blow the rapid recovery off course this year, with Bloomberg Economics predicting that the U.K. economy will still regain its pre-virus level in the final quarter of 2021. The key risk the Bank of England will be watching is whether the more infectious Delta variant of Covid-19 prompts greater caution among consumers, who have so far been the engine of the U.K.’s impressive recovery.
