Thailand’s baht fell the most in seven months, with traders on alert for possible intervention by authorities after the currency capped six straight weeks of gains.
The baht depreciated as much as 1.1% to 31.394 per dollar, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Last week, Thailand’s currency had climbed to the strongest level since March 2021, due in part to a rally in gold prices.
