Again, Naira strengthens against dollar at official market - NIGERIAN TRIBUNE
The Nigerian naira strengthened against the United States (US) dollar, trading at N1,361.0479 at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) official foreign exchange (FX) window on Tuesday, 2nd June, 2026.
The data shared on the CBN’s official platform shows that the naira traded at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) rate of N1,361.0479 per dollar and closed at N1,360.2200 per dollar.
The currency resumed weekly trading on the first day of June with an NFEM rate of N1,366.7950. Comparing this with Tuesday’s trading rate, the Naira, again, appreciated slightly by at least N5.
At the parallel market, the naira-to-dollar buying rate increased by N2, and the selling rate increased by N5, compared to the previous trading rate on 1st June, 2026.
According to AbokiFX, the Naira-to-dollar exchange rate at the black market on Tuesday, 2nd June, 2026, was N1,387 for the buying rate and N1,395 per dollar for the selling rate.
