Naira depreciates, sheds N3/$ at official FX market - NIGERIAN TRIBUNE

The Nigerian naira depreciated against the United States (US) dollar, trading at N1,363.3040 at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) official foreign exchange (FX) window on Thursday, 18th June, 2026.

The data shared on the CBN’s official platform shows that the naira traded at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) rate of N1,363.3040 per dollar and closed at N1,365.5000 per dollar.

The currency, which traded at an NFEM rate of N1,360.0725 on Wednesday, 17th of June, 2026, has depreciated by at least N3.23 compared to Thursday’s trading rate.

At the parallel market, the naira-to-dollar buying rate appreciated by N5, while the selling rate appreciated by N2 when compared to the previous trading rate on 17th June, 2026.
