Nigeria set to release March inflation rate - DAILY POST

APRIL 15, 2024

The National Bureau of Statistics is set to unveil inflation figures on Monday, March 15, 2024.

DAILY POST reports that NBS releases its monthly consumer prices index every mid-month.

Recall that February’s inflation figure rose to 31.70 per cent from 29.90 per cent recorded in January 2024.

Meanwhile, CAPE Economic Research and Consulting says the country’s consumer price index would increase to 32.65 per cent from 31.70 in February 2024.

This is as Nigeria’s food inflation figure continues to soar, reaching 37.92 per cent.

Nigerians have continued to lament the rising cost of living despite the sustained appreciation of the Naira against the Dollar for the past months.
