The Nigerian naira depreciated slightly against the United States (US) dollar, trading at N1,348.4492 per dollar at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) official foreign exchange window on Wednesday, 22nd April, 2026.

The data uploaded on the CBN’s official platform showed the naira traded at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) rate of N1,348.4492 per dollar and closed at N1,348.1000 per dollar.

Comparing this rate to that of Tuesday, 22nd April, 2026, when the Nigerian currency traded at N1,350.7402, the Nigerian currency appreciated slightly by at least N2.   

At the parallel market, the naira-to-dollar exchange rate for both the buying rate and selling rate decreased by N2 when compared with the previous trading rate on Wednesday, 22nd April, 2026.

According to AbokiFX, the Naira-to-dollar exchange rate at the black market on Wednesday, 22nd April, 2026, was N1,390 and N1,398 per dollar for buying and selling rates, respectively.
