Naira closes week at N1,366.19 per dollar as Nigeria’s external reserves hit $46.91bn - DAILY POST

The Naira ended the week at N1,366.19 per dollar at the official foreign exchange market as Nigeria’s foreign reserves climbed to $46.91 billion.

The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that it depreciated slightly on Friday to N1,366.19 per dollar, down from N1,366.06.

This means that on a day-to-day basis the Naira dropped by N0.13 against the dollar.

However, the country’s N20.36 gained significantly on a week-on-week basis at the official foreign exchange market.

At the black market, the Naira ended the week with an N10 gain, closing at an N1,450 per dollar rate.

This followed the continued rise in the country’s external reserves, which climbed to $46.91 billion as of February 5th, 2026, according to the apex bank data.
